Winifred Marie (Deppen) Poff of York entered into rest on Wed., July 7th, @ 5:35 pm @ her residence @ the age of 83. She was the wife of Bobby L. Poff – of York to whom she was married for 41 years. Winifred was born in Altoona on June 17, 1927 but was raised in Tyrone, Pa, and was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen Rolman. She was a postal carrier, retiring from the United States Postal Service. and also worked in various grocery stores; a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Dallastown; she enjoyed fishing and casino's. Besides her husband – Bobby; 5 Sons- Robert Colyer Jr of Brogue and wife Joyce, Ronald Colyer of Brogue and wife Sandra, Richard Colyer of Spring Grove and wife Wanda, Lonnie Deppen of York and Douglas Deppen of Hellam and wife Tessa; 2 daughters- Judy Flinchbaugh of Felton and husband Ron and Barbara mcCauslin of Aspers and husband Paul; 4 Step Children – Debora Reever of York and Husband Randy, Thomas Poff of Red Lion, William Poff of Loganville and Maureen Ferguson of Texas and husband Tim; 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; 11 Step grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren; 2 brothers- Wilber Deppen and Carl Deppen; 2 sisters- Susan Deppen and Marilyn Hildebrand; She was preceded in death by 3 brothers- William, Robert and Eugene Deppen and an infant sister-Barbara Deppen. Her pastor, Rev. Lawrence Cunnings will officiate. Winifred was a loving wife and mother, who adored her grandchildren. She was described as being amazingly feisty and wonderfully charming lady, who will be sadly missed by everyone!
