Daniel R. Melcher

Daniel R. Melcher, of York, went to his eternal home on Saturday evening, November 18, 2023 from Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 62.

He was born in Elkton, Maryland on February 23, 1961 to Lois J. (Hare) Kinard and the late Lamburtus J. Melcher, III. Daniel was the stepson to the late Nolan D. Kinard.

Daniel graduated from Lincoln Intermediate and worked in packaging at Shadowfax for over 10 years. He especially enjoyed bowling and spending time with his friends. He loved using his Sheetz gift cards and cherished visits with his siblings at Pleasant Acres. Daniel found delight in the simplicity of savoring French fries and indulging in a strawberry milkshake.

Besides his mother, Daniel leaves his two brothers, Lamburtus “Bob” J. Melcher, IV. and wife, Rebecca of York and Terry D. Melcher of Lewisberry. He will be missed by his sister, Kelly L. Kline and husband, Patrick of York.
