Julia E. (Stine) Wilkinson, of Red Lion, entered into rest at Inner’s Creek Nursing and Rehab on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 8:05am at the age of 68. She was the wife of David Earl Wilkinson to whom she married on January 10, 1986.
She was born in York on October 1, 1954 and was the daughter of the late Rev. Henry A. Sr., and Anna Catherine (Deckman) Stine. Julia was a housekeeper and was employed by Eastern School District as a custodian. She enjoyed listening to country music, specifically Hank Williams, Jr., David Allan Coe and Jim Reeves’ “Am I Losing You.” She will be fondly remembered for spontaneously jumping into the car with her daughter, Roxanne, and taking a drive to the mountains to visit her family in Snowshoe, PA. Julia loved helping others. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Dallastown.
Besides her husband, she leaves behind her two daughters, Roxanne C. Stine of Red Lion and Clare Compher of York, her granddaughter, Scarlett Rose Wood of York and her grandson, Zion Conri Van-Dyke of Etters. She also leaves her brothers, Leonard W. Stine and wife, Elissa of Tallahassee, FL and Henry A. Stine, Jr. and wife, Betty of Gap as well as her sister, Dorcas L. Houck of Clarence. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jade M. Wood on October 10, 2003.
Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Springville Cemetery.
