Kanubhai H. Patel

Kanubhai H. Patel, of Red Lion, entered into rest at his home on his 77th birthday surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. He was the husband of Anjanaben K. (Patel) Patel to whom he married on June 2, 1972.

He was born in Umala, India on April 23, 1947 to the late Hirabhai and Sonaben Patel. He was an art teacher in India until his retirement in 2005 when he and Anjana moved to Red Lion to be with their family. Besides spending time with his loving family, he enjoyed listening to music and will be fondly remembered for his witty jokes and humor.

Besides his wife, Kanubhai leaves his daughters, Keyuri V. Patel and husband, Vijay of York, Bhavini Patel and husband, Sanjay of Red Lion, and Krishna P. Upadhyay and husband, Parag, of Calgary, Canada.  He will be missed by his three grandsons, Parth V. Patel, Jai P. Upadhyay, and Arya S. Patel.

There will be a private family viewing and service at Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion on Thursday, April 25, 2024 with Dr. Purshottam Acharya of Hari Temple officiating. Afterwards, a public viewing will take place at the funeral home from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, followed by a private cremation ceremony.
